WA Government funds Council to begin Barrett St footpath designs!
We have had a win!
The Barrett Street footpath will be built!
For many years, at the request of local residents, I have asked Gosnells Council to build a footpath down Barrett Street (between Lakey and Balfour) in Southern River. This would allow safer pedestrian movement for young people to and from school and this increase in activity will deter people from choosing to dump their rubbish in the bush along Barrett Street.
Thank you to everyone who has raised this issue with me so I can advocate for you to the Council and then contribute $30,000 (Budget Ref. 88115)
The Government has now funded the Council $260,000 through a grant to design and build a footpath & road, with the Council contributing $10,000.
If you support this, please fill out the form on the right.
I commend Gosnells Councillor Serena Williamson for her advocacy on this issue.
